A Python Telegram bot you run yourself that answers questions with the AI provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible service). It answers every message in private chats and only mentions, replies and /ask in groups, with conversation memory, an optional allowlist, admin-only settings, rate limits and an AI-disclosure footer on by default. Tested with an offline automated test suite; you confirm the live Telegram connection with the included checklist.

Requirements
- Python 3.11 or newer (tests passed on 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13), or Docker with Compose
- A computer or small server that stays on (long polling needs no public URL or open port)
- Comfort running a few terminal commands from the README
- A Telegram account and a bot token from @BotFather (free; steps included)
- An AI provider account and API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter or another OpenAI-compatible service), or a local Ollama install — usage is billed by your provider
- Hosting: your own computer or a small Linux server/VPS
